White tea (Camellia Sinensis) almost exclusively comes from Fujian Province in China and is so-named because of the silver coloured hairs on the unopened bud (White Tea can be found to a lesser extent in the Darjeeling province in India & on a few plantations in Sri Lanka).
The White Tea buds are harvested for only a few days each year shortly before they fully open, thus making this a very rare & exclusive tea. It is the least processed of all teas; the leaves are merely air dried before being packaged resulting in a tea that possesses an extraordinary high amount of antioxidants.

Why White Tea Extract Is A Perfect Ingredient For Skincare Products.
Because of the minimal processing White Tea retains a far greater quantity of Polyphenols & Catechins than any other tea, far in excess of what Green Tea possesses. These potent ingredients contain high levels of antioxidant properties that can negate the damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals are molecules that damage cell DNA and as a result can accelerate the process of premature aging. Every day the skin is exposed to oxidative stress which causes a breakdown in cellular strength & function, antioxidants are effective at neutralizing free radicals, boosting the immune function of skin cells and protecting them against the damaging effects of the sun, White Tea possesses an extraordinary high amount of antioxidants.

The finest quality White Tea consists exclusively of the buds of the Camellia Sinensis tea bush just before they open. These buds are hand picked during certain days in the spring, usually between March 15th and April 10th. By that time, the buds have reached the perfect balance containing the optimum amount of anti-oxidants.
The leaves and buds are withered over a few hours & then air dried, like green tea; they are not fermented at all. The extremely gentle and quick processing means that the buds and leaves are very close to their natural state. This allows the antioxidants in the leaves to survive intact preserved in the same concentration as when the leaves were still growing on their bush on a hillside in China.

Whenever I got sunburnt as a kid my mom always used to place cold teabags on the sunburn & I never questioned why, I just accepted it was the right treatment because it was so soothing. Now I can understand the science behind it a bit thanks to the internet & now I am a mom myself I can explain it to my own kids.
Having said that not getting sunburnt at all would be better advice, prevention better than cure.

I used to be a sun worshipper for many years, always trying to get the best tan.
However the legacy of that is a wrinkly skin and I have tried many anti wrinkle creams over the years and some were good some bad and now I've just bought my first antea age crema. I will come back to say if it is any good or not in a few weeks time.

I understand the reasoning behind using white tea in skincare because of the high level of anti oxidants, but are asiatic beauty considering actually selling white tea to drink?
I would have thought it would be an easy cross seller.

I've been using antea age for 4 weeks now and it has surprised me a little. I have tried many anti wrinkle products over the years my favourites being oil of olay range although earlier last year I tried Dermajuv which I found good too. I am usually one for the famous brand names but occasionally I like to try something really different and antea age seemed like a good choice. I was not disappointed as this cream really does make those wrinkles disappear, I was amazed how good this cream works. What really does surprise me is the lack of promotional material about this cream, after I bought it in november I tried to research it on the net and I could not find one beauty magazine/journal/newspaper reporting on it. You got a great product here you should be shouting it from the rooftops!
